If you are looking for a spacious and nature-friendly home, then we have dozens of places to stay in the North Carolina Mountains for you. All of our cozy cabins offer plenty of outdoor space that is perfect for spending time with your loved ones. Sit on the deck in the morning before everyone else wakes up, sip on a cup of piping hot cup of coffee that you made in the kitchen and watch the sunrise. Or you can sit on the chairs on the patio later in the afternoon, sip on an ice-cold beer or a hot tea, and read a book while you relax on vacation. Most of our cabins also offer tons of acreage and outdoor space you can use with your kids or your pets. Play fetch with your dog in the backyard or have a catch with the football with your kids in the front yard as you gaze out on the endless trees, wildlife, and breathtaking views.
After a long day of exploring, you can curl up, relax, and kick back into a plush and cozy bed. All of our cabins offer a master bedroom, complete with an ensuite bathroom and shower, to rinse off the dirt after completing a hard hike. Most of our houses also have multiple bedrooms, so you can bring guests to sleep over. You and all of your friends and family will have your own space to sleep, get a full 8 hours, and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day!
After spending time outside all day long on hiking trails, kayaking, or shopping, you can head to your living room and dining room to spend time with one another. Plop down on the cozy couch or comfortable chairs and read a book, chat with your loved ones, play a game of cards, or watch TV or a movie on the smart TV. All of our vacation home rentals in the North Carolina Mountains offer relaxing and cozy places where you can lie down on a couch, prop your feet up on the coffee table, and munch on some popcorn while you watch your favorite flick.
You can make a five-course dinner or whip up a few snacks in one of our modern kitchens. Use the ample counter space to set out appetizers, store your fresh food in the refrigerator, keep your snacks in the kitchen cabinets, and cook a filling breakfast that will keep your guests full all day long in the modern stove, oven, and microwave.
Plus, when you are done spending time in your cozy cottage, you can get outside and see all the beautiful nature surrounding your vacation house! We really love going to some of the best coffee shops in the area and then going for a hike in the picturesque nature afterward.
Best Coffee Shops in Asheville, NC
Are you in the mood for an oat latte or an iced soy cappuccino? If so, then look no further! Head to the Dripolator on W State Street to bring your laptop, get some work done, and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. We love eating one of the signature drinks, like the Drinking Chocolate with French Bread Chocolate and cinnamon or the Cubano with raw sugar, sea salt, and half and half cream.
DT’s is a vibrant and upscale coffee shop that is great for catching up with friends, reading a book, working on your laptop, or having a cup of coffee with your guests. We recommend coming here for breakfast and an espresso-laden drink. Try the sausage biscuit or the Cutler’s Calamity, a filling plate with a toasted bagel with cream cheese, provolone, oregano, and bacon. To wash it all down, you can’t go wrong with a breve, cafe au latte, chai tea, or matcha latte.
Moment’s Coffee Bar and Eatery is a down-home and relaxed spot that is perfect for relaxing and reading a book after a long hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We recommend getting one of the signature lattes, like the Golden Indian Keto Latte, Bulletproof Coffee, or the Spicy Del Toro Matcha latte. We also love coming here and getting one of the smoothies, like the mango madness, black beauty, or planet pineapple!
Best Hiking Trails in the Area
Once you relax and chill out in your cozy cabin, you can go hiking on one of these picturesque and beautiful trails.
One of the most popular hikes that you can do in the surrounding area is the Craggy Pinnacle and Gardens trail. You will slowly make your way up as high as you can to enjoy a panoramic, birds-eye view of the nearby mountain ranges. If you go on this hiking trail at the beginning of the summer months, you can enjoy the incredible views of flowers, animals, and never-ending views over the green pastures. After you have reached the top of Craggy Pinnacle, you can extend your trial by tacking on the Craggy Gardens trail. And coming in at just 1.6 miles, this trail is a smart way for you to see more wildflowers, breathtaking vistas, and public benches.
Located at milepost 418.8, Graveyard Fields is an Asheville staple hiking trail that is a popular choice for locals and tourists alike who want to see the waterfalls, ponds, rivers, and streams in the surrounding area. This fun and easy path is great for those who want to meander along a beginner-friendly trail, bring a picnic lunch, and become one with nature. Not to mention, you will be able to see tons of wild berries and wildflowers during your expedition!
Not done with hiking yet? We don’t blame you! There are endless trails in the surrounding area. One of our favorites is the Boone Fork moderate hiking trail, a 5.5-mile loop that takes you between two of the most popular towns in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This picturesque and exciting trail is located near the Blowing Rock Area and the Julian Park Picnic Area, bringing you to the beautiful Boone Fork Falls, picnic area, and rocky trail. You can even bring your fishing rod to see if you can catch some trout in the Boone Fork River!
Last but not least, the Green Knob Trail in Julian Price Park brings you to the Sims Pond and Sims Creek trout dense pine trees and bodies of water. We love coming here if you want a peaceful and relaxing bath without other tourists and locals. We enjoy coming here for early runs in the morning.
