One of the most popular trails in the entire Blue Ridge Mountains is the Mount Pisgah Trail that is located just a few minutes’ drive south of Asheville. This hiking trail is one of the best in the entire area due to its unobstructed 360-degree views of the surrounding trees, mountains, and hills. You can head to the top in just 2.3 miles to see the trees changing color in the fall or gaze at the bright sunshine in the summertime. Head here and bring a few snacks to have at the top of the observation deck to make a full afternoon of your hike!

Linville Falls
Another waterfall favorite is Linville Falls, a great hike that is only 1.6 miles round trip, making it the perfect few-hour getaway for those who have small children. We love heading here and first going to Erwin’s View Trail, taking you up gently and providing you with an amazing viewpoint of the Upper Falls, Chimney View, and Erwin’s View Overlook at an astonishing 3,000+ feet high in the air.
