Are you looking for a fun-filled and exciting day out in the bright blue waters, sunny skies, and pristine weather? Look no further! There are dozens of activities that are suitable for you, your friends, and your children. After a full day of whitewater rafting on the flowing rapids, deep water solo climbing high above the pool, flatwater kayaking along a lazy river, learning how to stand-up paddleboard with your friends, and tackling the ropes course, you might still want to do another activity. We don’t blame you!
Check out the adrenaline-pumping activity of taking a huge leap from over 100 feet high in the sky! If you have a head for heights, raising your heart rate, getting your blood flowing, and feeling adrenaline coursing through your veins, then we recommend jumping off of the stable platform at the Whitewater Center NC.
You can rest assured that you are safe and sound the entire time while simultaneously pushing yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone! Our 100-foot-high platform is located above the rest of our Whitewater Center, giving you amazing views of the forest around you, bodies of water, and a vibrant community down below.
The Jumps at the Whitewater Center in Charlott, NC use a secure and safe belay system that resembles the feeling of free-falling from a high-up cliff or mountain’s edge — but meanwhile, you are completely strapped in and safe the entire time!
Even for those who fear heights, the professionals here will be able to explain everything to you. Hence, you feel confident before your jump. You will begin on the raised platform and then experience a free fall until the belay system catches you, slowly lowers you safely to the ground, and lets you soak in the amazement of what you have just done.
Jump Options
There are various jumps here, which work well for smaller children and adrenaline junkies alike. There is t
he 60-foot Hawk Jump that is medium and beginner difficulty, or you can choose from the 100-foot Hawk Jump or the 30-foot bridge jump. The 30-foot bridge jump is great for those who want to feel like they are really in the middle of nature!
Details
We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes for safety and comfortable clothing (no dresses or skirts). The USNWC will provide the necessary equipment for the fall, like the harness, belay system, and helmet.
